How do you keep safe working in extreme heat? That’s what reporters wanted to know.

With temperatures reaching 100 degrees, how can outdoor workers keep safe? That’s an important question and a highly relevant one for us. Our team works hard, but even the toughest can fall ill to heat-related causes. Hydration, breaks and minimizing hours during the heat of the day are the first lines of defense. As this report illustrated, we also curtail non-emergency work when it can put the crew in danger. We appreciate their hard work and skilled labor, but safety comes first.
