Why choose Fidler on the Roof KC?

Fidler on the Roof KC puts customers first, treating your roof like it’s our own. But don’t take our word for it: Read what our customers have to say.

Our approach

Fidler on the Roof KC is lean enough to be fully accessible and responsive to customers and large enough to handle a wide variety of residential, commercial and institutional roofing projects.

Our services range from replacing a composition (traditional asphalt shingle) roof on an 800-square-foot home to re-roofing sprawling commercial facilities. We’ve worked on historic buildings with unique roof styles, replicating their historic look while eliminating age-related wear and tear.

But what matters most is how we treat you. Your home is your castle. And the roof is what stands between you and the elements. Our promise is:

  • Rapid response

  • Quality products

  • Excellent workmanship

  • Competitive rates

  • Full compliance with building codes and regulations (often exceeding them)

We minimize disruptions
We understand the inconvenience and disruption roofing can sometimes cause. We work to minimize this by clearly communicating timelines and expectations. And, unlike toddlers (or teenagers), we clean up our messes. In fact, our Equipter New Roof, No Mess system captures debris before it hits the ground. That way, you can get right back to enjoying your yard.

In addition, we only uncover what we can cover. Weather is unpredictable. Because of that, we’re always ready to secure exposed roofing during rain or severe weather. Measure twice, cut once. Your roof and home stay high and dry, no matter what.

Our record

  • We’re fully licensed so your roof, property and peace of mind are protected in every way.

  • We have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

  • We’re a recipient of the Angie’s List (now Angi) Super Service Award.

  • We were honored to receive the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry Fast Track Award, recognizing “superheroes of our economy.”

  • We’re HERO (Home Energy Renovation Opportunity) registered contractors.

  • We’re Kansas City natives, home grown and locally owned.

  • We invite you to view customer reviews and comments, unfiltered.

get a NEW ROOF with NO MESS or hassle

Most companies throw their roofing debris onto the ground or on tarps. Sometimes the tarps kill the grass and landscaping. Even if it doesn’t, a pile of debris looks like … well, a pile of debris. And, despite best intentions, the mess is never fully picked up. You’ll be finding nails, staples and bits of roof for years to come. As a home owner, you don’t like that scenario and neither do we. For that reason, we’ve invested in the Equipter, a lift and container that can hover at your roofline and collect everything that’s removed. What it misses, we sweep and pick up. We’re a roofing company, not a wrecking crew. As mom said: Leave it like you found it.

Our story: home grown and committed to kansas city

The Fidlers are part of a multi-generational Kansas City family who attended area schools and are raising their families here. Their local ties and work history came together in 2016 when brothers Brian and Eric teamed up to form Fidler on the Roof KC.

Eric was a veteran roofing industry representative while Brian had worked in several businesses in sales and leadership.

I saw the potential for us to work together and make a difference. We both want the right things done right, and when it comes to roofing, that conviction brings value to home owners.
— Brian Fidler, fidler on the roof kc

Since Fidler on the Roof KC began in 2016, it has grown steadily by providing a consistently high level of service at a competitive price.

“We have elevated customer service and, at the same time, are focused on providing a great experience for our employees,” said Brian. “We want our team to want to be here and to feel proud to represent the company. We’re extremely gratified. It’s a rock solid team.”

Fidler on the Roof KC has developed internal expertise, with team members fixing their own machines, maintaining their own vehicles and creating custom copper and metal roofing components for customers.

“We like to adapt and improvise and if we can do it ourselves, it saves the customer time and money,” Eric said.

With decades in the business, he’s seen almost everything. Eric’s experience has informed his opinion of how a roofing company should – and should not – be run.

“Sometimes roofers have a reputation for blasting stereos, revving engines and leaving messes,” Eric said. “That’s not us. We show up when we say we will. We return calls. We clean everything. We’re highly responsive.”

The Fidlers believe it’s essential to promptly respond to messages and show up on time. They’re as eager to tackle a small repair job as they are a major roof installation.

“We don’t run from anything,” Brian said.

And that means anything. They’ve responded to calls to chase squirrels and snakes out of attics. It’s not as easy as it sounds.

Fidler on the Roof KC is gratified to protect people and property – no matter the type or project.

“We view it as art, not just something to plug a potential leak,” said Brian. “When we’re finished we like to step back and see that we’ve created a thing of beauty. We gave something back.”

Let us know how we can serve you.

The greatest complement we can receive is that our team made the experience a pleasant one. Roofing is ultimately a people business.
